Interview with Bill WASSER, teacher at ISG Strasbourg…
Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
I am an American engineer with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and an MBA.
I worked for over 25 years as an engineer in the energy and biotech sector. I also worked for 5 years in humanitarian organizations in the Solomon Islands, Somalia and in Rwanda where I was responsible for a refugee camp just after the Rwandan genocide.
I came to France after meeting my wife. We now have 2 beautiful children and live in Strasbourg.
What subjects do you teach at ISG?
I have been teaching at ISG, EPITECH and ISEG for 9 years; Negotiation, Intercultural Communication, Business English, IELTS and TOEIC Test Preparation.
Why do you teach?
I became a teacher because I myself am a lifelong student. I have completed over 75 online classes on everything from Data Science to the Secret of Happiness.
Could you tell us about one of your passions or commitments?
My passion is swing dancing (Lindy Hop). It is a very energetic couples dance to jazz music. I’ve been dancing since I can remember…until the coronavirus hit. Hopefully, the dancing will start back up or I need to find a new hobby.
